Ever since I moved to the Great Lakes Bay Region, I have been asking my girlfriends and other women I meet, where do you shop in this area? The answer I hear from most women is very rarely a local boutique.
I have lived in Bay City, Michigan since April of 2011. Working a few corporate jobs has really helped me to understand that doing what you love is the most important thing of all. Even if it means less money. I decided that opening my own business and working for myself would not only be personally rewarding, but would help fill a need we have here in the Great Lakes Bay Region.
My goal for the boutique is to offer unique and affordable contemporary clothing to women in our region. The name of the store is Ferne, after my Grandma, Ferne Bungart. She was a very strong, honest and hard working woman and I have always looked up to her.
I am very passionate about growing business locally in the Great Lakes Bay Region and am looking forward to bringing this store to downtown. Cheers!
